Toorak College Community and Arts Precinct

Toorak College Community and Arts Precinct

Toorak College’s new Community and Arts Precinct in Mt Eliza is a significant addition to the school, and LPA was proud to contribute through its lighting expertise. Working closely with Atrics Electrical and in partnership with COX Architecture and LBA Construction Group, we delivered a comprehensive lighting solution shaped by collaboration. Designed as the cultural hub of the school, the precinct is a versatile space where students and the wider community can come together to learn, perform, celebrate and connect.

Our team played a key role in supplying the majority of the internal and all the external fittings for this space, including delivering the exterior lighting concept and design. In collaboration with our distribution partners, Unilamp and Lightnet, the exterior was carefully considered to balance performance with design intent. Unilamp’s Mini Charisma bollards provide safe and welcoming pathways, while the Medium Tube recessed downlights accentuate outdoor features to create a cohesive landscape. The façade is illuminated by Lightnet’s Matric A3 IP54 fittings, giving the building a striking architectural presence. Each solution was selected to align with the architectural vision while meeting budget and performance requirements.

Internally, LPA supplied a range of high-quality fittings, including Lux Pro downlights and Eva recessed linears. These solutions were primarily used throughout the circulation zones and open spaces to provide flexibility, visual comfort, and support the flow of movement in the space.

By combining thoughtful lighting design, strong partnerships and high-performance products, LPA has delivered an outcome that enhances the architectural vision and ensures this vibrant new precinct will inspire the Toorak College community for generations to come.
