Cotton On Childcare

Cotton On Group has opened its new contemporary early learning childcare centre, a facility that aims at creating a healthy work-life balance for the Cotton On team. Developed in response to their team member surveys, the School Holiday Program offers fun, educational and stimulating activities during the busy school holiday period to support parents with work and their children. An industrial warehouse was transformed into a haven for the children and families of the Cotton On community and its North Geelong campus. LPA worked with PTID to deliver their lighting design following a similar design concept as the Cotton On Beckley space. The childcare centre needed to flow as part of the larger headquarters office design.

Using a range of ceiling lights, wall lights, pendants and LED strips, we were able to create a friendly and inviting ambience for families to enjoy. As part of the client’s design intent, LPA custom-made several of the luminaires, including the large 1-metre-long Milan chandeliers and antique London wall lights in the reception area. The Artist handrubbed antique-style surface lights were used throughout the learning and open play spaces of the centre. This tied it back visually to the overall Cotton On office design. We provided shop drawings for all our bespoke fittings which were approved by the interior designers for the specific details of the lights. Cotton On Group’s childcare facility celebrates the community, culture and compassion of the group’s values. It supports working parents and families with a nurturing environment. Children are able to enjoy the communal areas to collaborate, learn and build friendships.
