Adobe Head Office

World tech giant, Adobe has opened their Australian head office in Sydney’s Darling Park. LPA worked together with Schiavello and DBS Consulting to manage and supply a lighting solution that met the allocated project budget. We specified light fixtures without compromising on the functionality, aesthetics and performance of the original fitting.

The design concept reflects Adobe’s creativity, innovation and aspirations as the leading design technology brand. With a growing team, the office had to accommodate for over 150 staff per day with plenty of versatile workspaces supporting their Work Anyplace model.

As part of the design process, the project required extensive collaboration with local and international stakeholders to maintain Adobe’s high global standards. LPA delivered lighting calculations, project management and sales support within a short turnaround time.

We used the Matric linear series at the main working office level. Originally specified as suspended, we modified the linear profiles to be surface mounted due to the height of the conference rooms. For the open collaborative desk in the centre of the office, we used the Matric R3. This was customised in a rectangular shape to mimic the table. We supplied this in a direct/indirect light distribution to create ambient illumination in the space.

The outcome delivers a minimalistic lighting solution that complements Adobe’s creative and modern office design.
