LPA Lighting provided 90% of the lighting for the 9-storey commercial development building spanning 190,000 square feet. Located in the thriving area of London’s Midtown, the building will house over 1000 employees of the Dar Group in a state-of-the-art building, which they say will provide them “with a sustainable platform for growth for the next decade and beyond”.
Elementa Consulting delivered the lighting, full MEP design and fire engineering, while Currie and Brown provided cost consultancy services. Their innovative design targeted LEED Platinum, BREEAM Outstanding and SKA Gold to ensure that the building was one of the leading workspaces in London.
To deliver high-quality lighting within all the working areas and meeting rooms, LPA’s Pro S60 luminaires were used. In the open plan offices, suspended direct/indirect luminaires of different custom footprints and lengths with a microprismatic optic and DALI 2 dimmable drivers delivered the lighting at 4W/m2. Within the meeting rooms and smaller offices, Pro S60 luminaires were suspended flush with the suspended ceiling providing direct lighting only.
