The newly constructed Early Learning Centre at Kingswood College uses lighting to transform the space into a nurturing and vibrant learning environment. Our well-designed light fixtures create an atmosphere that fosters curiosity, engagement and learning for young children.

Collaborating closely with our long-term partners, Fryda Dorne & Associates, LPA delivered reliable service and top-quality lighting products that reflect our high standards. We played a significant role in delivering exceptional light fixtures to not only meet the project’s specifications but also enhanced the aesthetics of the space.

Careful consideration was taken to achieve optimal light levels for both academic tasks and creative activities. To prioritise visual comfort, we carefully selected light fixtures with low glare ratings, ensuring an environment conducive to learning. We took great care to provide a sustainable and functional lighting solution using highly efficient products.

One of the most notable features of the Early Learning Centre is the timber tree showcased in the central atelier. This architectural feature brings immense joy and entertainment to the children. Hanging from the tree were several Firefly pendants by our partner Landa to add a unique charm and joy to the space. The decorative lighting seamlessly integrates into the overall aesthetics, elevating the visual experience of the Early Learning Centre.

Adjacent to the timber tree, we used Lightnet’s Matric suspended linear extrusions in the corridor. These highly efficient and low-glare luminaires provided functional and uniform lighting to effectively reduce glare and shadows. This attention to detail is vital for ensuring visual comfort and promoting concentration, particularly in educational environments.

LPA’s lighting solution contributed to the ongoing evolution of Kingswood College’s outstanding early childhood education program. We’re proud to provide an exceptional learning experience for young children.
