Decjuba Head Office

LPA collaborated with Decjuba, Semz and Figurehead Construction to deliver a considered lighting solution for Decjuba’s new head office in Cremorne. Lighting was instrumental in achieving the sustainability goals at the new head office, which earned a 5-Star Green Star rating. All specified fittings met Green Star compliance criteria, featuring high colour rendering (CRI90+) and DALI drivers for energy-efficient, controllable lighting throughout the six-storey workplace.

The lighting design adhered to AS1680 standards, ensuring optimal visual comfort and performance across the building’s flexible zones, from workspaces and meeting rooms to photography studios and breakout areas.

Central to the lighting were Lightnet’s Matric R6 and A6 linear luminaires, along with Lightnet’s Liquid Line track-mounted linears with lens louvres for the lower ceilings in the corridors. They offered an architectural form with high-performance output. Supporting the Lightnet products, we used a mixture of the Carl and Logan spotlights in the lobbies and the Visi downlights in the office areas, all fitted with honeycomb lourves for glare control.

The COB Continuous LED strip range was integrated into the handrails of the main stairwell, providing both functional and ambient lighting. It was also featured in key accent zones to subtly reinforce the design aesthetic. Flexible neon flex lighting brought a dynamic edge to select areas, adding to the modern, industrial feel of the interiors.

Collectively, the lighting strategy balanced performance, sustainability, and design cohesion, supporting both the user experience and Decjuba’s corporate sustainability values.
