The Gordon – Building H Redevelopment

Originally a sports hall, LPA worked with Vincent Chrisp architects to create a lighting outcome for the redevelopment of Building H at the Gordon TAFE’s East Geelong Campus. This included a conversion of a new library and Learning Resource Centre. The facility houses a library including flexible learning spaces, a conference centre and a bookshop.

It was important to ensure quality working conditions for students and staff at the new facility. Suspended luminaires were distributed evenly across the library to accommodate the various multipurpose usage of the space. They offered low levels of glare to prevent visual discomfort whilst looking at the screen for long period of time. They were fitted in Cool White (4000K) to ensure productivity.

The upgraded Building H delivers a clean fresh look suitable for staff and students in the facility.
